I first heard Pillars when I attended Post. Fest 2018 to hear Heron play (I have 2 talented nephews who are members of that band). I thought the guys in Pillars sounded tight and awesome. This album, CAVUM, just proves even more so that I was correct! My favorites on the album are Dissolution and Black Prayer, but plenty of excellent sounds here! Kenneth Blick
"the beautifully layered, very dreamy and elevating sound of the French group, which effectively utilizes voice samples to underline its score nature, sits comfortably between the likes of Mono and Bruit ≤ and has enough profound substance to easily carry you on its waves if you let yourself fall into it. Unless you're a mermaid of course."

This is the most amazing post-rock discovery I've had in a long time. How have I not heard of this band previously? I have been listening to this and their other album for days straight after first listen. Amazing, deep, powerful. Words don't do justice. Listen and lose yourself in this. zeuslyone

It's like being swept on a transcendent journey, where the soaring melodies lift you into a realm of pure escape, embodying a sense of flying away from the mundane. Each note weaves a tapestry of eternal sorrow and compassion, an exquisite balance of sadness and joy that echoes the complex emotions of life itself. lecassette8
